This dive site is considered one of the best for technical diving in the Sesimbra area. A few nautical miles North of Cabo Espichel, this wall dive can be both challenging and magnificent.
Starting at 47mts it continues along a very steep slope that ends at 90mts. Along the way, we can admire scattered branches of vivid yellow coral, some of which being quite large, surrounded by thousands of gorgonians that populate the entire area. This garden-like scenario is not complete without the schools of small pink Anthias that swim frantically against the gentle ocean current.
At the top of the wall, there are some enormous boulders and canyons, making it a very particular landscape that can be appreciated better if the visibility is good.
The conditions must be perfect to attempt this dive, as strong currents and large swells can make the decompression uncomfortable and the boat entry very physically demanding and dangerous. Visibility can vary significantly along the water column, sometimes being quite murky near the surface and suddenly turning crystal clear below the 30mts range.
