Baixa do Norte is a sheltered place that starts at 6mts of depth and descends in a gentle slope up to 14mts deep.
We can observe the colourful Queenfish, Kingfish, and Seabreams in the shallowest area.
Along the descent, we find several species of Morays and Octopus and considerable Salemas. Close to 14mts, it is possible to observe a volcanic phenomenon consisting of tiny air bubbles emerging from the bottom of the sand; through the air bubbles in the sand, we can see Stingrays, Lizardfish and Soles.
The "North low" is an excellent spot for snorkelling and night dives.
