The SS Dago is at a depth of 50mts, about 3 miles offshore.
The SS Dago was a 290-foot-long British steam freighter with about 1757 gross tons, that was sunk by a German aircraft during World War II on 19th March 1942.
Today, the wreck lies on a flat sandy bottom in a length of tens of meters, divided into two main pieces of wreckage.
The stern section is still standing East-West. Both the rudder and the propeller are visible, as well as the hull structure for about 35mts from the engine and the two boilers.
Just before the boilers, in the same place where the bomb exploded, a large field of debris can be seen.
Exposed to the severe North Atlantic strong tides, the Dago wreck provides a technical dive that must be planned with accuracy.
