Gamela is located in front of the port of Corvo Village a few tens of meters from the coast, in a sheltered and moderately deep zone. Accessible for all types of dives, including snorkeling and night dives. Since this dive spot is very close to Caneiro dos Meros, it benefits from the abundance of marine life from the nearby volunteer reserve.
There is an extensive shallow platform (between 6-10mts) where you can visit two small caves in a lively area. Here you can see shoals of various species such as yellow Damselfish, Salemas and Queenfish as well as Groupers and various species of Morays.
At the lower end, the depth drops to about 20mts, the diver can be about 12mts (15ft) at the end of the low and be surrounded by large pelagic fish, such as Forkbeard and Atlantic Cutlassfish.
