A day at the beach and diving - Exclusive Dives

This is an exceptional diving program. Take your entire crew with you. You will share this exclusive diving experience with those who usually aren't there with you. And we promise - they'll enjoy the whole (diving) day.

This program is dedicated to taking you diving but also for you to be sure that everybody has lots of fun. You dive, your buddies dive, and your friends (that don't dive) will be there with you, enjoying a very special day at the beach.

This exclusive dive includes

Everything you need from the moment we pick you up at your hotel - and we mean you and your entire crew: diving buddies and your friends that will not dive but today they go with you, just because they can - to the moment we return you, tired but relaxed and extremely happy because you've done something completely different and exclusive today. Something that you've dreamed before but you never thought that you could do. You've had a tremendous diving day, you and your diving buddies, but also your girlfriend and your friends and family, those that usually don't come along because diving is only for divers.

This beautiful beach, where we'll spend a tremendous day has a unique beauty. Which is why it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of the Arrábida coast. 

It is better to access by boat, for two reasons. One is that the ride by boat is truly fantastic, you will be able to see the landscape from the sea, and it is just breathless. The second is that by foot it's 30 minute going down, and everything that goes down as to come up, right? If you are not an athlete, (or working to be) the trail is rough. You better take a boat, and that is why on this Exclusive Dive, we will take you there... by boat.

If you are an adventurer or you like outdoor activities, like climbing, long walks, exercise, feel free to say it to PortugalDive.com and 1) we'll include such activities in the program or 2) just meet us there. Don't forget to wear sneakers! Wearing flippers, you will regret the decision.

The water just in front of Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo (translated to English the name would be Horse Creek Beach) is rich in marine flora and fauna. A paradise for those who like to dive or snorkel, being frequent to observe fish, crustaceans and mollusks.

Because it is not a hidden paradise anymore we suggest you schedule this Exclusive Dive on a weekday so that you won´t find a crowded beach.

As you decide to go by boat or by foot, we are here to help you with everything you need and to make sure that you won’t forget this day.

In this Exclusive Dive, PortugalDive.com will provide transport for the entire crew, boat and diving equipment for those who are going to dive. Also lunch at the beach with water and soft drinks (complimentary - the whole day) and activities for those who will remain at the beach during the dive. If the number of divers allows it, there may be seats available for some friends to go on the boat while others are diving.

The group size depends on the booked dive and other activities for those remaining at the beach. A typical "A day at the beach and diving" exclusive dive can take up to 5 persons. "Our Day at the Beach was absolutely a highlight of our trip to Portugal and Spain. It is one of our top travel experiences ever and will be a cherished memory for my entire family - forever. Thirty years from now, my kids will tell their kids about their trip to Sesimbra and Ribeira do Cavalo Beach during their trip to Portugal. If you are a diver or wanting to try diving or simply want to spend a day playing on a magical beach in Sesimbra - then plan to spend an extra day in Portugal and reach out to Arlindo. Extend your trip by a day if necessary - you will not regret it. I reached out to Arlindo to arrange a day for myself and the 8 other members of the 2022 European Vacation family tour group. This group included my wife and 3 children, my son's friend, my mother in law and my sister and brother in law. Arranging an excursion that catered to that age range and interest range is a terrific challenge and the Portugal Dive team absolutely crushed the challenge. My middle daughter and I are divers and we dove nearby the beach while my son and his friend had 'try dive' excursions from the beach and my wife, youngest daughter and sister snorkeled from the beach. We normally dive in the Caribbean and on this dive my daughter photographed her first octopi. My mother in law was the official 'terrestrial photographer' and was constantly busy recording the continuous action. Our Dive Masters on both the boat and the beach for the try diving were great. My daughter and I loved Filipe our guide so much we did a wreck diving course with him the day after our beach excursion. (The wreck was spectacular - but the water was still rather cold). After my daughter and I finished diving, we headed back to everyone else at the beach, had lunch and then headed out for a sea kayaking excursion with my son and one of the best sea kayak guides I have ever met. Needless to say - there are some magical caves you can visit by kayak right around the beach. When we travel I try to insure that we have at least one day of 'non history death-march' fun outside of a city or tourist area. I find as I grow older that these experiences (this day at the beach in Portugal, the day on the catamaran in Santorini, my daughter's birthday party at a vineyard) are the high points of our trips and really bring us together as a family. Arlindo and his team made this happen for us and are inextricably bound to our memories of this extraordinary day. We thank the entire team who hosted us on the beach, our dive masters, our kayak master, our boat captains and Arlindo for bringing it all together. I highly recommend this experience if you are an outdoor, adventure loving family (or group) and want to spend some time on one of the most gorgeous beaches you will find in Europe with folks you will count as friends forever.
